stonecobbler.......I am not sure you will be able to say you found the end, but there are things that can get you closer to better power than a conventional power strip. First thing to give serious thought to is dedicated circuits, at least two to your equipment rack location with both circuits on the same phase in your electrical panel. Next would be to use high quality receptacle outlets, preferably nothing below hospital grade outlets for their firm gripping power on your male cord connectors. Next would be to use premium quality power cables to your components. You may wish to power your gear directly from the dedicated wall circuits or you may decide to use a power conditioning component or an AC regenerator between the wall outlets and your gear. The latter is my personal method for clean power to my gear. Everything that happens inside your components starts with the AC from the wall. The cleaner that power is when it arrives at your components the better your system will sound.
