Wasn't this pic stolen from the Gambino Family?

Thanks for all the great suggestions. Every rack has something great about it. I must admit, I do sort of like the "cabinet" style of the Salamander. It's just that I think the quality is crap. Keep the photos comming. Thanks again.

Default Just adding our two cents to this

Hi everyone,
I've been reading through the preceding posts in this thread and would like to add my two cents. Hopefully informative, but admittedly somewhat self serving.
Our racks have a number of highly sought after built in characteristics and, to my knowledge, there is no other rack out there that has them all.
Every equipment rack and amp stand that we produce has infinitely vertically adjustable shelves. Set their spacing to what you require now and then easily change them in the future if you change out or move components around. For the folks who are worrying about finding a rack that will fit their equipment, we will produce the racks and stands to any height, width and depth dimension that you require, in 1/16th of an inch increments. No special charges for customized racks, simply cost adjustments for increased or decreased raw materials. Our shelves have been physically tested (on the racks) to 500 pounds and theoretically can support considerably more. It is possible, at minimal expense, to expand the rack in height width or depth and even possible to add an additional shelf to an existing SBD rack. In six years we have yet been requested to build a rack configuration that we could not do. Our racks are stable, rock steady and as vibration controlling as you can get.
They are relatively easy to assemble, requiring only one tool (which we supply) and an extremely simple degree of mechanical ability. We've had exactly 1 person, in our six years in business, who felt that "he knew it all" (we all know one) and refused to listen when it was explained, to him, that he was making assembly mistakes. He arrogantly argued about how it should be assembled and disregarded the personal step by step guidance he was given to complete it perfectly. And then there are the approximately 1000 other audiophiles who had no trouble and are using and loving their racks today.

And please feel free to call with questions (917) 361-4701
Best regards,
Steve

Very funny Steve, I'm the guy that you were chatting with yesterday. See you at the show in NYC! You were very helpful. Much appreciated.

Going to cast my vote for Adona. Wide range, several price points for a wide range of budgets.

Default Sorry, can't get to Montreal

Hi VT Skier,
Sorry, I won't be going to Montreal. To this point I haven't gone to any of the shows. Knock wood I've been thankfully crazy busy. I will be going to the NY Audio Show on April 12th to the 14th admittedly because it's close and convenient and I promised Israel Blume of Coincident and Tom Krauss the representative of the Coincident line that I would come on the first day of the show to help them set up the Steve Blinn Equipment Rack they just purchased and the Coincident components that they will be exhibiting. I will say, though, that with the terrific heart warming welcome I've received on AudioAficionado, I will seriously consider trying to arrange a partnership with an exhibitor who does many of the audio shows and then supply one of my racks for his display and attend the shows.

I am surprised no one has mentioned Taoc ASR series racks? They are made by Taoc who are wholy owned by Toyota Corporation, so they have deep pockets when it comes to r&d. Best of all, like Toyota vehicles they represent great value. Speaking from my personal experience, these racks offer amazing sound and performance for the money. And build quality and shipping materials are both excellent & give you a real pride of ownership. If you look at all the Taoc racks in use at CES in the last few years, that tells you something.

Here is a link to the product catalogue - http://www.taoc.gr.jp/pdf/catalog/2011-5-AllAcce_hp.pdf

David...I really like the look of their product range. If I had of known about Taoc ASR series racks sooner, I would have certainly short listed.

Doesn't look like the brand is represented in the USA so would be totally off the radar at AA. Also considering how much local product the Americans have in this space.

Are there dealers in Australia?
