A special day -- Happy 9th Birthday to Vintage Tubes MC2301's

My favorite amplifiers of all past purchases reached their 9th birthday today. Hard to believe it's been that long but after reviewing invoices and double checking my McIntosh Owners page on the McIntosh Laboratory web page, yep, 25 June 2008.

These have filled my listening room with extraordinary & extremely music fulfilling satisfaction over these past years & have behaved as any one can expect from a growing & broken in youngster. Needless to say, I am proud of them and expect they will continue to fulfill my enjoyment in the many years ahead.

Would like to thank Ron Evans, recently retired after 48 years with McIntosh, Chief Designer of the MC2301 for his engineering and design skills he possessed.

I didn't realize that model amp. has been out that long. The MC2301's are a great sounding amplifier. I guess if its not broken don't replace it. I feel the same way about my MC501's (picked mine up in 2009) I am pretty sure you were one of the people who recommended them.

Yep, how time flies David -- and that's quite possible myself and several others -- likely Dan to name one off the top of my head enlightened you to the marvelous MC501's. Glad to see you have enjoyed yours as much as I with the tube variety.

I love my MC 2301's. I now have three of them for L,C,R. Congrats Bob, for 9 great years of audio bliss!
