I am definitively NOT a ROON fanboy, and therefore ready to accept that the Conductor app is a very vialable alternative.

IMO, The ONLY MISSING FEATURE of the Conductor app, compared to ROON (and Deezer), is the ability to READ THE LYRICS of the songs played.

If this was implemented in the Conductor app, then I will be 100% sold to Aurender.

The Aurender N10 is designated as an A+ music server in the October 2018 issue of Stereophile's Recommended Components.

Congratulations to Aurender. The N10 music server is an outstanding audio component.

I have been using an Aurender 100H for a while now. I installed a Primaluna pre and power amp into my system. This has the MSB Analog DAC and Focal Diablo speakers. While I am amazed at how lovely my system sounds, the 2T HD are filling up rather fast.

After reading a ton of reviews and this thread Im on the brink of pulling the trigger on the N10. Its expensive, but at least I know I will have the best source for my music collection. It seems I may have to get the AES input ordered for the MSB DAC for non DSD files.

Im actually very excited about how this is going to play out, as the 100H is pretty amazing.

afridi.......You are right, The Aurender N100H is quite amazing. I have one and enjoy it every day. I also own an Aurender N10 that is in my studio system. The N10 raises the performance bar over the N100H. It is especially organic sounding, richly textured voices sound so lifelike, and instrumental timbre and dynamics are phenomenal. My N10 has the 4TB hard drive arrangement, although it can be ordered with 8TB of storage. The N10's performance level isn't inexpensive but in my opinion it is worth every penny. I am confident you would be satisfied with the move up.

The N10 for sure is a nice piece, and I am curious with the N10 going into the MSB via AES means it will override the MSB clock and this would be interesting to see how that hears out.

I am a big fan of both the Aurender N10 and MSB.

Let us know what you decide and send pictures!

Default Dilemma

Im right on the verge of ordering an N10. If I pull the trigger today I can expect in two weeks I will have it However the thing Im debating is whether I should stretch a little extra and get a secondhand W20. Some report its a significant sonic upgrade in addition to the greater flexibility it offers in terms of connectivity.

Any thoughts on that?

Also interested by this Comparaison... and I Wonder if getting a used W20 instead of a N10 still make sense with a DAC that do NOT has Dual AES/EBU and NO Clock Input.

I bought a demo model. Got a decent price for it. Am loading some more music to it at the moment but did get a chance to fire it up. Compared to the 100H at first listen it does seem to be fleshed out quite nicely in the mid-range and there is more air in the treble.

More open and less congested is the best way I can describe it!
