I do like Magico speakers, but they sure do like their radical redesigns every few years! Pity the poor Magico owner who bought new top of the line Magicos 7 years ago. They're like 5 major model resigns old by now. Not Wilson style incremental revisions and new model types. Ground up new SOTA designs.

When the Q series came out, it made a fair number of magico owners upset, since the design and sound was (subjectively?) better at a cheaper price than what was offered in the M5. And not much before that, the M5 trumped the Model 6 (also for less money). Mega bummer for whoever bought the Model 6 (I can't recall exactly, but I remember it being ~120k or so)... even worse if they then opted for M5 and then had to witness the Q series come out. The good news is that it means Magico is making the ultra boutique at least ALMOST within grasp for some of us who aren't millionaires.

Well said! Also, I hope the trickle down from the Project M will benefit the next generation S series at reasonable costs.

Olaf, have you ever consider the V3. I heard (a used) pair at a shop driven by Dartzeel integrated and was impressed. In the moderate sized room (~200 sq ft) the sound was well balanced and threw a surprisingly convincing sound stage.
