So if 19 watts is loud on Alexia what would Alexia's be like on my system? I have two MC275 VI. They are one of my dream speakers and I have no desire to change my electronics or source. I've never seen anyone pushing Alexia's with 275s and maybe there is a good reason why. If this post is to far off topic please feel free to remove it.
THANKS!

Trey... This is not off topic at all.

If I were you I would never listen to them and even avoid seeing them ! They will haunt you

Once we try the Shindo of Jérôme on them, I''ll be able to better judge the use of tube on the Alexia but so far I don't see any reason why the MC275 wouldn't make them sing.

Georges,

You took these words out my mouth....I can't see why it wouldn't work with this fabulous amp MC275, even alone.

It is worth to try imho.

I loved the Alexias when I heard them at JM's place.
But you know 120W of peaks is not a piece of cake for Shindo. They are rated at only 70W.
Anyway, believe it or not, the Harbeth may well be my last speakers. They sound just right too and for a small fraction of the Alexia's price.
Jerome,

Which stand do you use under your Harbeth 40.1?

Thanks!
