Anybody think the MC275 would mate well with the O96s? Any first hand knowledge of Mac & Devore at all? I heard the 8s paired with Carver Cherry Bombs and did not think it a good match.

Even though my amps put out nearly double the power of your Cortese I was advised to go with the high efficiency 0/96, at least until I have a room that will suit the Latour's. The goal is to create an organic, effortless flow to the music. Unless you are prepared to change amps I am not sure that will happen. I could be wrong. Good luck with it.
Thanks for the feedback , just for clarity I have the Giscours with the CC80's which I had hoped out me in the driving bracket. The reviews I've come across and the specification page on the website talk about always between 7 and 15 ohms. My current horns are rated 6 ohms and I'm experiencing nor problems,

Regards,
Paul

I used to have a pair of MC275s and I did try my super 8s with them. It worked well. I used to run the Super 8's with a MA6500 and that was a great pairing.
But my Leben is even better. I do miss that MA6500 though. Shoulda kept it. I could have used it for my patio

Just got my SBs and they sound pretty damn good with the Cortese. Tight bass, great imaging and detail. Monbrison volume is at 9 to 10 and they are plenty loud. Very, very different from the O's. image-2901845720.jpg Sent from my iPad using A.Aficionado

Congrats! Is that in Walnut?

What's the major difference between the O's?

Yes, walnut. I think the SBs are better at disappearing into a room, and throw a deep soundstage with well-defined bass.

Thanks John. Would you mind providing me with some information on the upgrade to the Silverbacks?

Congrats Logey! I thought you'd be pretty happy with the combo! I'm glad it worked out for you.
