New Pink Floyd Album October 2014

Pink Floyd is to release a new studio album called The Endless River in October 2014.

This will be the first studio album from the band since The Division Bell which was released some twenty years ago back in 1994.

Yes it was rumored that David was working on a new solo record by Graham Nash, since him and Crosby were working with David again, but a tweet from David Gilmour’s wife, Polly Samson, she said it is some old not released stuff that Richard had laid down.

more to follow soon I am sure

PS rumor says it will be a boxed set release too on a 180 record + hi rez +blu-ray the works in addition to a cd + possible sacd.

Also David and Richard were very very tight friends, I just seem to think in his mind he feels a little lost and sad without having Richard on the keyboard.

It is like Roger waters and Nick Mason. A good drummer goes hand in hand to work with and cover a bass player, and the same can be said with Dave on lead guitar and Richard on the keyboard.

So myself I do not seem so shocked that he would remix and clean up to release some stuff that was already recorded back in the day with Richard.

I would still love to see David release another solo like On an Island, that was a great record

I'm not going to hold my breathe. I hope it's true, but the rumor mill is always churning when it comes to The Floyd!

Looks legit. I just hope it's not a disappointment. I'm not expecting another dark side, of course, but it would be nice to get something decent. Looking forward to those solo albums, too.

I share you fear of it being a rumour. But I think a tweet from Dave's own wife is pretty good as rumours go.
