Michell Gyro SE on Boos Board
I received my solid maple Boos Board yesterday. They make beautiful boards. Mine needed 2.5 inches cut off the length. It arrived 24" x 18" and I needed it to be 21.75" x 18". Today I carried the Boos Board to a friend's home who has a nice table saw, and in short order had my board cut to the correct length. A couple of passes with a belt sander was all it took to round the edges back to match the factory edges and it was ready.
The Boos Board is now installed under my Michell Gyro SE with my new dust cover sitting on it perfectly. It looks fantastic. I haven't listened to the turntable yet, but I will later this evening. I am positive having the Michell Gyro SE on solid maple is far better than having it in direct contact with the tempered glass shelf.

With a suspended table try keeping everything below the boos as rigid as possible....when you use another squishy material in the mix the spring rate changes slightly and can effect how the table suspention resonates....the table suspention moves in a micro manner and the same goes for a non rigid material below the table and they sort of fight one another.....small blocks of wood or cones work very well and couple which is what you want.....it creates a drain, use soft things and then you isolate but micro vibrations have no where to go and remain in the table and boos.
