djd...my point was to simply point out that there is one available on Agon for anyone who may be interested. Nothing more, nothing less. Maybe you shouldn't try to read into statements too much . There was no hidden meaning or agenda . Merely providing an fyi for those who may be interested in the speaker.

Thanks for the link. It has given me many sleepless nights!

I agree your statement was merely being helpful though.

Jerry,

I don't think you need 30 feet. I have listened to these NEARFIELD and they were awesome. YOu can squish them into the corners so they just become a piece of furniture, albeit expensive furniture!

Saw a used pair over here a while back for US$10k

Well US$10k seem reasonable if its the Westminster Royal SE version. Add in freight and handling, maybe another US$5k? Maybe I should take another trip down over to HK on May 28th, another long weekend holiday for me - sans wife this time.

Then, I can at least savor your Meridian setup plus a little hifi ... ing with you, PROVIDED you can find time out of your busy schedule to accommodate.

Let me know cause I am serious ... plus also coming down to check on some other watches prices cause my wife think I should buy 2 more for my girls (hedge against future price rises).

Cheers!

Anyone heard the younger brethren - The Canterbury 15 & the Yorkminsters?

Strange, but from the specs, the 15 inch Canterbury does not go as deep as the 12 inch Yorkminsters.

yes its true the 15 " drivers dont go as low as the 12 "

hard as hell to control all those inches .. dont ya know ! .. nature of the beast

but a large cabinet like the westministers of coarse gives you the lowwer bass the way of the internal design

like someone pointed out no sub for cubic inches { volume }
