As in car engines, there is no substitute for cubic inches!

Brian.......A most enjoyable review. Makes me want to locate a Tannoy dealer soon.

I got a chuckle from Jeff Day's comment talking about losing himself to the music when he said, "because I can quite easily get caught up in the 'paralysis of analysis' due to my pointy-headed training if I'm not careful." I think we all suffer from paralysis of analysis occasionally.

That was a good read. Thanks for the link.

He's an excellent reviewer. His schtick from 6Moons.com days and now Positive Feedback is a focus on "Music Lover's" components/systems. Meaning his bias is towards the more organic, musical side of the spectrum vs. the audiophile, analytical side of the spectrum. Before the Tannoys, his reference speakers were Harbeth HL-5s. And his amplification which has not changed has been Leben. In both cases (Harbeth and Leben) he has tried to strike a value-oriented system for the "music lover."

They are the bee's knees. Definitely a contender for a speaker I want!

Dual concentric designs have many advantages.

I wish they'd bring back an improved Tannoy Kingdom.

The did. I think there are two versions now. I demoed one last year. Very nice and not too pricey (<20k).
