I rather expect a Q6. A Q6 at 90k would be an interesting concept. What do you guys think?

if performance would approximate that of the Q7, it will be at a Q7 price.... there is no miracle unfortunately! Q7 sound is so superior because technology used are different from the rest of the range (and costly)

The midrange seems to be different from the S1, it looks smaller.

S1 is a 2-way. S1 has a 7" mid/woofer. S3 is a 3-way with separate midrange and woofer.

They look hot, and there did seem to be a huge price & functionality gap from the S1 to S5. So far I'm more a fan of the S1 than S5 (in the small-to-midsize room I've auditioned them both), so it'll be interesting to see how the S3 goes. Looks promising. I've been coming around more to the Magico S-series sound. The beryllium tweeters are fabulous, and the midrange is excellent.
Always hated side-firing woofers, so it's nice to see Magico stick with the front baffle. Not in the market myself, but it would be sweet if my local shop brought a pair in for audition. Last edited by mulveling; 10-30-2013 at 04:24 PM. |

With a narrower baffle than the S5,one would think this should be an imaging champ and soundstage champ.
