Default DeVore Super 8's get new feet....

Hello Folks,

just received my new Pro Audio Bono Bearing Anti Vibration Feet ( AVF ) to replace the standard spikes of my Super 8's.

I was very happy with the sound of the DeVore's "as is" but :
- After hearing what the PAB AVF made on my Wilsons, I had to try them on the DeVore
- The Super 8's are in the living room. Kids, cats... made me not very confident about letting them spikes.

As always with Pro Audio Bono, the built quality is over the top and actually much higher than what you could expect at this level of price : I found their products very reasonably priced compared to the competitiors - Wladek, please do not read this ! - ( I am also always amazed at the packaging quality and attention. Just to pack those feet, racks, platforms - each package is completely custom made to your precise order !! - it must takes a very long time. I have not seen yet in any company this attention made to packaging. Except when Audio Classics makes a special package for shipping.)

Each foot weighs about 300g and they are beautifully finished. I found the gold color to be the most on par with the DeVore finish. Wladek told me that the effect on the sound depends on the material. There are two to choose from : Brass, which gives more ambiance, and an other one which is maybe steel but I'm not sure, who gives more dynamics. I am more into ambiance so I chose brass.

Did not listen to them yet ( the house is sleeping ) but here are some pics.
Will report the effects on their sound.

Ivan, on a side note, with the huge number of DeVore owners on AA, I modestly think that DeVore Fidelity should be in the manufacturer forum.

How are these different from stillpoints? They look very similar.

The design is very different to Still Points or Finite Elemente Ceraballs. Not sure I can give out design details, but there is a good reason why they have a certain minimum height. They are highly effective - im my experience much more so than the Ceraballs / Cerapucks.
