Default Baseball Phenom

This kid, with the support of his Dad is quitting high school, at the age of 16. Even LeBron finished HS before joining the NBA draft. I dunno, maybe I'm just too old.

Bad move, I'd say...get an education, finish high school...emotionally he can't possibly be mature enough to handle this just yet.

Either he or his father must have taken a few bats to the head behind the plate.

The problem with out society is that sports is considered more important than a good education. This kid's father obviously does not want to take a chance of his kid getting hurt playing amateur ball and hopes to cash in and make boat loads of money.

I think the dad is trying to live vicariously thru his kid, and trying to capitalize on his rising star. The baseball draft for this year is done. So next year at the ripe ol' age of 17 he'll be entering the draft... with a GED, assuming he passes. If he gets drafted, he'll have all this fame and money thrust at him. Now thinking back to when I was 17, I didn't exactly make the wisest choices, albeit at the time, they were always the more fun of the choices. Just think if I had this kids bankroll at 17. I still probably would have made the same unwise choices, just on a much grandeur scale. But I digress, I guess what I'm trying to say is, I think he should at least finish high school. Get a couple more years of maturity under his belt. That's my .02 cents.
