??? For all you Cornscala owners
I'm going to have a pair built for me in a month or two but I have a question about attaching the grills.
Did you guys use magnets? Velcro? Permanent mounted? Grill guides? I like the magnet idea since I have a pair Klipsch bookshelfs that use them. But I think the Cornscala grills will wind up being a lot heavier than those.

Will they be veneered?
If so, I recommend putting strong magnets under the veneer so that they are NOT seen. Like the DeVores... |

The cabinet maker I found has only made one other pair of speakers and I only saw a fuzzy picture of them. He said the owners said they sounded like a symphony. I only give that statement a limited amount of credibility. I'd REALLY like to be there along side his crew making them so they'll be "just right". I supposed I should ask him if he's going to make the grills only from a circumferance framework or only making speaker holes from a sheet of 3/16" masonite. That could determine the type of mounts to use. A full sheet of masonite may not be strong enough for the magnets.

I use 3/4" pine strips you can buy from the "molding section" of home depot. Cut to shape. Basically make a rectangle that 1/8" less width and height as the face/opening of the speaker. If it is a big frame.....then may add one strip of pine in the middle for a brace.
Then use a 3/8" stapler to place duracrest fabric wrapped around the strips. jc
