To me the 911 was always a mans car, easy on the luxury and heavy on the performance. I hope they continue in that direction, they have the Panamerica for that luxury direction. I hope they keep the 911 a machine dripping with testostrone. The new ads are an attemp to address the wav factor, and a walk down a dark lane to me. IMHO

I'm waiting for the C7 ZRI/Z06/Grand Sport Corvette, to see if they really keep their promises. But that's another issue.

Regards,
Jim

Jim, I hear 'ya.....but to me the C-6 for the $$ spent represents one of if not the best performance to cost ratio platforms on the planet.

As a big Porsche fan, I agree. Seeing Mom at school picking up the tots in her 911 turbo does not make that a car I want to dream about anymore.

They don't show the worst angle which is from the side. The proportions are all wrong because they lengthened the wheelbase. It looks closer to a maserati grand sport in profile than to any air cooled 911.

I am currently without a new sports car (last one ended up wrecked) and decided against the 991 when I saw the side views. I will probably end up with a morgan or another lotus. Porsche needs to go back to its roots, not continuing to drift to more and more luxury.
