2012 Porsche 911

The new 911 looks like it is going to be a true upgrade not just a facelift. The car will be lighter, larger, more room inside, a interior as nice as the panamera and the 911 S HP will go from 385 hp to 450 hp. I also read that the retracting wing in the back will be longer and wider then the one in the picture below.

The longer and wider wing will do it for me, otherwise no way.

I like the more chiseled muscular look of the new 911 body, smaller tail lights, different color rear wing, new style dual exhaust. Faster, lighter, more comfortable intererior uh oh. I hope that I can resist because I already bought my wife and I new cars this year.

I'm in the 2011. I'm not sure I'll upgrade from here. If I were in the '08 or earlier, definitely. I'm not sure I like the 'more comfortable' change. there are the luxury sports cars (Maserati for example) that offer comfort. Then there are the race inspired cars that offer none of that! The Panamara is nice, but not for my race car man!

Parents bought me a Red w/ Black interior 1980 911 Targa when I graduated from high school. It had a manual 5 speed transmission w/ a hydraulic clutch that lasted all of 2 days on campus. I hit a tree! To my surprise, they allowed me to get another one. It lasted till I traded it in three years later.

I had an 'Egg Shell' (cream) 928 in '84. OK, that was one luxurious Porsche! Loved it.
