Serge.......The Knight XV is a wild looking thing, for sure.

To be perfectly honest, lack of self control is one of the reasons I decided to part with the Jaguar XF. I had not been over 85 mph in a vehicle in 20 years until I bought the Jag. It brought the worst out in me as far as speed is concerned. Tapping those paddle shifters on the steering wheel, hearing that exhust tone, feeling the acceleration, blipping up over 110 mph in a couple of heart beats is extremely exciting, and quite addicting. I found myself doing it more often than I should. The morning I traded the Jag for the Expedition I ran it up to 126 on a long flat stretch of highway going to the dealership. I just couldn't keep my foot out of it. The odds are against us with that kind of reckless driving on pubic highways. You can only be so lucky for so long.

Now that I have the Expedition I set the cruise control 4 or 5 mph over the posted limit and just cruise. Lots of steel around me, soft comfortable leather seating, great surround sound system, sweet view of the legs in the lower vehicles. I am back to being sane, and far safer. I feel better about driving. I hope to grow much older in good health. The Jag was cool, but the driver was insane. I have closed that door, and fortunately lived to talk about it.

Dan, staring at legs in other vehicles while driving can't be all that safe either...

There is a reason the South African ER docs call motorcyclists "Organ Donors"

Story; a few years ago my dad fell asleep whilst driving and wrote off his Acura.
He was unhurt.
The same afternoon he got a phone call from his Acura Salesman who asked him if he was okay.

When he said yes, the saleman said "you see? The Acura's are very safe. Now when would you like me to drive the new model to your office to test drive?"

I was kind of impressed with the salesman even though it was morally probably a bit dodgy!

No doubt there are no guarantees in life. I bet the guy kite surfing in Florida the other day never dreamed when he woke up his last morning that he would be eaten alive by a group of sharks. Talk about a terrifying way to go.

I like 4 wheels and a roof, so when it rains I don't get wet.

I was never really into the motorcycle thing. Everyone of my buddies either has one, or has owned on in the past.

They try to get me to join in on the 2 wheel fun, but when I see a group of riders under a bridge in a rain storm, or sitting at a long light in the summer, with the heat of the engine right between their legs, I remember why I said no thanks.
