Diamond Cleaner = Wow!!!

Today I got a bottle of Clearaudio Diamond Cleaner, to replace an old bottle of MoFi #12 Stylus Cleaner. I used it on my 1 yr old. Talisman v2 Gold and all I can say is WOW! this stuff works great. It cut right through all the build up on my stylus and cantilever and made it shine like new. The Mofi was never near as effective, and did nothing to clean my cantilever, which is now shiny, bright and clean.

I recommend this highly. It's $30, so a small price to pay for great stylus care.

I got mine from my local Clearaudio dealer, along with a minty fresh belt for my Ovation.

Dean.......The thing I worry about with all liquid stylus cleaners is the chemicals leaching up the cantilever and damaging the stylus suspension system, not necessarily immediately but over time.

You can always wipe the fluid on a brush and use it that way.

I don't think Clearaudio would recommend this fluid for their very expensive cartridges if it wasn't safe. And when I wipe the stylus I don't see fluid leaching up. It dries too quickly. I also use it sparingly.

I feel confident using it.

Dean.......I have used liquid stylus cleaners in the past, always sparingly, and always applied with a soft artist brush. None the less, liquids and vapors as they evaporate cause me concern.

I feel confident the Clearaudio product is specifically designed to ensure long term reliability with Clearaudio products. I don't have the same confidence with the same product on all other manufacturers products. I may be all wet here () but I prefer to use a dry stylus brush after each play. I have also discovered that sitting the stylus on a small piece of Magic Eraser also keeps the stylus spotless.

Magic Erasure works for me. Make sure it is the "plain" version with no detergent.

Yup ive been using Clearaudio Diamond Cleaner for 5 years now and i agree with your assessment. I have used it on TT ranging from $599-$2500...i also find if you use the liquid correctly....it will last a very, very long time
