Default MC302 vs. NEW MC312 direct compare?
Has anyone heard a direct compare between the two? Other than the obvious differences listed on the Mc site, curious how the 312 sounds vs. the outgoing 302.

Kind of unrelated....
At one time, I had a 302 and 452 and did a direct compare between the two. I spent about an hour flipping back and forth. Have to say, the “difference in sound” was marginal at best (JMHO).

I think you and I may hear the same minor Diff with the 312 Vs the 302 all that said. But if it was me I would want the 312 Yes...

It's been over a year since I had the MC302 but MC312 seems to have more current as it seems louder at the 0.30w to 3.0w range than I remember the MC302.

Direct led lighting does look better. Not having the same speakers as when I had the MC302 makes it more difficult to compare the amplifiers. Comparing amplifiers in same line up is harder than hearing differences in different speakers

@miatadan, how do you find the combo c70 & mc312 so far ? I'm also interested in mc312 to pair it wit c47.

I was thinking about moving up from my MC152 amp to the MC252 amp but was advised against it.

Very happy with the 302 and 47 pairing. Lots of punch and detail in the mids with the great McIntosh sound to it.

C52 + MC 302 + SF Amati Futura.
Warm, natural sound and sufficient power from the 302.

Doubt that the 312 will sound „better“ than the 302 but maybe different.
