I am entertaining a preamp purchase with a phono stage. I am considering the C2600 or C1100. Recommendations? I have (2) MC275. I am not against considering a C52. I was smart enough to purchase a D150 prior to my turntable purchase, so I’ll use that in another system.

McIntosh’s Flagship C1100 Tube Preamplifier....
WOH,
I have owned a C1100 for several months and if you have the means I highly recommend it. While I'm not ready for a complete reveal, I have measured my C1100 with an Audio Precision System One +DSP Audio analyzer and the technical performance far exceeds McIntosh's already stellar published specifications. It has a neutral and detailed sonic signature that is not tube like at all, but it has that glorious tube midrange. The phono section is also excellent. Tom
