They gave me a price, wanted me to pay and yet had no ETA whatsoever on the product. I felt extremely uncomfortable doing business that way.

Most every other dealer on their website is no longer accepting orders, or told me they are dropping the line, Liquid HiFi, Perrotta and Suncoast Audio won’t sell them now either.

I also found out that all the key personnel in the USA has been let go; definitely not a good sign.

I'm not sure what's "not a good sign."

The removal of the Esoteric US website along with revising the dealership network in North America suggests to me that Esoteric is looking to have greater control in this country.

Esoteric seems to be distributing new product in Asia to excellent reviews.

Your list of dealers that "won't sell them now" isn't quite correct and at least one of those dealers is considering representing the brand due to the changes that the brand is making here.

One key person I know directly was not let go. He decided to take a new opportunity that was even more senior for another company.

With respect I would say this does not mean anything...I know two P1X/D1X combos have been sold in this country. The brand is still alive and well.
