Default A Cage Match is in Order

Will let these break in and then post comments. I can say that the 20/3 is a big improvement over the 20/2...well worth the upgrade...and I loved the 20/2

Looking forward to your impressions. I really enjoyed my time with the 20/2/V.

A quick shout out to Bill...know you are busy with the Aida...but I really appreciate you guys getting me the new SME so quickly...

Only issue now is I am pained to sell the 20/2... No place to put it but it has served me so well over the last 8 years. The 20/3 is a completely different table...love it.

Any hints on how to effectively get the disc off the platter now that it extends past the record...I am trying several ways but have not found the perfect one

Hmmm...interesting conundrum.

I had no idea the new SME allows you to spin compact discs as well!

So the little "step down" on the new platter doesn't match with the edge of the record?

Here's a good shot of the dilemma. Hadn't ever thought of that -- especially frustrating with some records that are very tight around the spindle.

I was guessing that the "step" pretty much matched up with the album size...not much to work with, but a little something?

When I compared the two the 20/3 seemed to handle the low end at bit better. Really stable. Although the 20/2 is no wimp the 20/3 just looks more substantial too when you have them side by side.
