Put on some very familiar music across many different genres and sat back and listened.

The first thing I noticed was the warmth of the vocals. The first few hours with the amp and it just got better and better.

The music was very inviting, and just drew me in. Everything from female jazz singers, to Thin Lizzy belting out the Boys are Back In town, was pure joy.
Congrats on acquiring the mainstay of the McIntosh lineup -- it's a beauty and should settle in after the first couple hours (I did not hear any significent changes after 3-4 hours).

Sit back and enjoy and zuj-1 with changing tubes.

Bob

Chuck you are a lucky man ! The MC275 is a classic and a true keeper. I am looking forward to your impression compared to your 352 . Are you planning to get rid of the 352 and run a pair of MC275's ? Post a few pictures so we can admire your new toy

Congratulations Chuck. One of the best things about my 275 is that it does not seem to have any of the tempermental issues of many tube amps. No need to bias, dead quiet, no strange noises out of nowhere, etc. And those who hear such things say it sounds about as good as anything out there. I certainly have no complaints. Enjoy!

Dan,
Absolutely no problem driving the OB1's to my normal listening levels.

It won't rattle the windows like the 352, but I very seldom do that anyway.
