Or ... How long will it take for your ears to acclimate to it?

Either way, give yourself a few weeks.

wow, that long... as time goes by does the sound get more warmer ? more organic ? more involving ?

with 5 hours in there, i find the sound, detailed, deep soundstage, a tad dry, wishing a little more musicality or more organic sounding.. maybe wishing for a fuller sound.

Your wishes will be granted right around the 100 hr mark. Then it will be time to hand it over to the owner or not....

Smoother, more relaxed top end, better focused and fleshed out imaging. The musicality and coherence arrives much sooner than 100 hrs. This can and probably does vary from amplifier model to model but it is roughly a good estimate of proper break in time. That was the curve my MC501s followed as well as the various other McIntosh amps I have discussed with other owners. The actual time does not matter as it already sounds very good out of the box and gets even better within the first 15-20 hrs. The rest is just icing on the cake. Enjoy.
