I did nothing to the C2200 - traded up to the C2300. If sent in I beleive Terry would have replaced capacitors & a few other items.

miner.......You made the right move, in my opinion. The C2300 is very hard to top.

Terry says my mess is ready. I'm going tomorrow to pick it up. I'll post when everything is wired up and running. I'm excited!

YAHOO!!!! Got all my stuff back from Terry. Ran two dedicated 20 amp lines to power it all, got all new interconnects, got all the wires plugged in where they belonged, and started to listen. First couple of hours I kept the volume level within reasonable limits and everything sounded great. Today I started to let the amps show me some more and did they ever!. If the wind outside had been right Sandy down in Rogersville might have been able to hear some of it. I'll probably be up late for a few nights going through different types of music and the hair on my arms is standing up. Great job by Terry, turn-around was even better than he had told me when I dropped it off and the price was better than right. Getting to talk to him was a real pleasure too. All in all, I couldn't be happier. I'm ready for another 35 years of Mcintosh magic. Thank you Terry!

Now that things are starting to heal up I'm starting to get some of the heavy iron onto the bench and get caught up. I thank everyone for their patience for the past few months, now that the hernia has been taken care of and I am feeling better maybe I can get back to a 30 day or less backlog.

Awesome John-- that is a great feeling isn't it. Glad everything turned out better than expected (not that anyone was questioning or doubting Mr Dewick's work).

Enjoy the music.

Bob
