I should have perhaps mentioned the add on Shunyata product I did have some success with - the stainless steel feet (Hydra - SSF). I attached them to my Triton,Typhon and V-Ray and feel that I definitely achieved a small all round improvement with the Triton and Typhon, but zip with the V-Ray.

Sorry, I'm off topic here...........

I have never really noticed worthwhile improvements when friends have discarded standard wall plugs for super expensive alternatives from the likes of Furutech and Oyaide etc.so I'm not expecting anything revelatory. I think that solid, quality manufacturing and a nice tight fit with adapters/wall plugs is all one probably needs to avoid a compromised sound quality - like the VooDoo adapters I already have.

We shall see.........
Thanks, looking forward to your thoughts.

Now, what I would like to see is Shunyata do a DTCD analysis of a power cable without the adapter, and with the adapter. That would provide meaningfull data for evaluation. Even then if the adapter showed up to a 10% degradation in DTCD that does not necessarilly translate to whether everyone will be able to hear that difference in their system.
Every additional series contact junction will degrade DTCD capacity. As many of you have pointed out - in this context, there is usually not a noticeable or very significant impact on performance. However, this is widely variable depending upon the type of component that the adapter is being used on and the resolution of the system and the sensitivity of the listener. Therefore, making any absolute statements regarding performance percentages is all relative. That being said it is most likely that the difference will be most noticed on high-current devices like power distributors and amplifiers. I would not use an adapter with these devices except for evaluation and short term testing. JMO

I use both Shunyata and Voodoo into Audio Research amp and RSA power conditioner too.

With the same reason, the Oyaide 004 comes in 15a form only.
Never know Voodoo make plated one.
I just hope Furutech or Oyaide make such adaptor too.

Well, I have had the Premium Silver Voodoo adapters in and out the system for some months now and sadly I'm am frankly struggling to hear an improvement over the standard Voodoo adapters. They look and feel better made, but I would have conclude that's the only difference I can pick up.
