Default Shunyata SIGMA: should I use COAX or AES/EBU

This is an interesting information. Indeed I just bought an Aurender W20 and I look for the best interconect to my DAC (Denafrips Terminator R2R DAC). It looks like the most raved digital cables are Transparent Reference and Shunyata SIGMA ! !

I will be interested to try Shunyata SIGMA, but... should I use COAX or AES/EBU ? with my Aurender W20 ? Can you tell us why did you choosed Coax ? did you compared AES and Coax out of the Aurender ?

thanks

PS: I am not too fan of this strange looking glass part. I hope it is really usefull and not just for marketing purposes to impress the customer !

PS2: during my initial tests, I had the impression that I could play DSD Ok with USB but not with the Coax connection !* is it normal or did I configured something wrong ?* Will AES have the same limitation for DSD than Coax ?

Let me know if you tire of either and I'll buy yours.

Sorry to dissappoint but a long time in with these cables and unless Caelin figures out a way to make them better, I go deaf or pass on, these are staying :-) !!!

I own a N10, not a W20, and my DACs are different. However, I can tell you my N10 is able to output DSD via USB and coax. Until then I thought DSD required USB but it can pass via coax too. AFAIK, there is no setting needed in the N10 conductor app in order to utilize coax for dsd. I believe it is dependent on the DAC whether or not it can process the DSD signal via coax. My Meridian 808v6 accepts DSD via coax and USB whereas my McIntosh D1100 seems to only accept DSD signal via USB. Regarding file size, I only have a handful of dsd files, mostly if not all DSD64. I can’t remember if I tried any 128 and I know I don’t have any 256.

;-) . Have you also tried the Shunyata Sigma USB cable ? I may indeed have to stay with USB (or at least double the EAS with an USB) because my DAC accept DSD 2x and DSD 4X only through USB ;-(

If not what "super good" USB cable can you recommend ?
