Choosing between Auralic Aries G1 or Bryston BDP-3?

Anyone out here had any experience with Auralic Aries G1 or Bryston BDP-3?

I have a friend of mine (non computer savvy) looking to get a music sever. My knowledge is pretty limited...So I can only advice a little. I have a older Bryston BDP-2. I like it and he has some experience using mine. I know there is a 1000 questions on how to choose a streamer. He is looking to play his very large music archive (16TB Western digital) via the USB port or ports... No need for a DAC, Pre-Amp.

**Just the best sound Quality from the HardDrive to his DAC then to Pre. Preferably via AES/EBU XLR digital interface.**

Anyhow, he says it down to the Auralic and Bryston. Bryston would be max budget. The Auralic is 1k cheaper, but wants what would be best.

Any advice on one or the other...Thanks in advance!!!
