Why the 350.8? Best bang for the buck, or?

My thinking goes like this: Deep Class-A bias, lots of power and, to get started on the point 8 series, more economical than the XA100.8s.

Hi,
very cool opportunity!! The 350.8 will be a great ampli. (ampere/damping f./...) maybe the 350.8 is the top for your setup but not using a preampli like a tube pre ampli you go llisten very different vs the sound from the xa100.5 I willl try a AR ref.250 with my system but personaly the pass class A I think is the top. your dealer give you a good quotation from the "old" xa100.5? I receive a bad quotation from the xa100.5 (and they are 1 year old!!!!) -> the AR 250mono will be not so expensive like start with the xa100.8!!!!! A lot og money here....and I have just changed the speaker right now -> new Wilson Sasha2 are in my room |

Hi Ken, thank you.
Well go see the Wilson (or Magico......) before invest money in Raidho. Raidho in the early years was highly acclaimed in the market ... now things are a bit 'changing .... "historical" brands are always a security ... Omar |

I see. That makes sense. That's a nice stepping stone to the XA100.8s!

Does anyone have thoughts on the XA30.8? I've been considering one to match with my 1028Be's.
Thanks.

Hi,
Have anyone made a comparison between XA160.8 and ARC Ref 250SE? Thanks for sharing |

My ARC Ref 250 (2 pairs) have some distortion when I play loud. While dealer is troubleshooting the amps, they let me use XA100.5 for the time being. I was shock that the power and control I have from this humble pair of XA-100.5. Decided to make the change and I ordered 3 pairs of XA100.8 (tri amps) to drive my Sonus Faber, since it can accepts 3 separate inputs.

I compared a pair of REF250 with an Accuphase A65 on Wilson Sasha. The A65 gave much more grip and control. It was also more musical.
