Default Rumor - McIntosh MX160 replacement coming soon (MX170)?

Rumor time.

The MX151 was released in 2012.
The MX160 was released in 2015.

Looking at the history they typically follow the 3 year refresh rate.

Marantz released their AV8802 right at the same point that the MX160 was released (they used to be under the same brand).

Now with the Marantz AV8805 just announced, the new McIntosh shouldn't be too far behind . . . what is everyone's thoughts?

Story of my life: every time I invest tons of money buying something, a new version comes out a month later. Sigh.....

I asked the local Mc rep the same question.
His best guess was by the end of 2018.
I asked for advice on where to take my system, and what I didn't like about my current system, and what I should do to get there.

The MX160 should be fine for 99.44% of people for a while.

I have the MX122, I was considering upgrading to the MX160, unless it's replacement was near.

MX150/151/160 are vastly superior sonically to the MX120/121/122 and include RoomPerfect.

Yes! Thanks.

This is why I love asking the community, someone might know something they haven't posted yet
