MVP 861 - cd portion not working!?

Good ending. I had a MVP861 as my cdp before the MCD500 and thought it sounded great. I never put dvd in it as it was in my 2 channel room. Enjoy !

I don't mind at all - they came highly recommended from the seller of the unit. This was an ebay purchase and the unit arrived fine, however the cd portion didn't work.

Pro Audio in Tampa did the repairs and they were great, the delays were no way there doing. They dealt with McIntosh from day 1 to determine the issue - i believe it was a series of unfortunate events. At some point, i will call and see what they issue was, Mac has the all the parts and is looking into the issue.

Mike ( the owner ) from Pro Audio was great and patient with all my calls, he even offered to drive to sarasota to pick up the unit and save me a trip. He wanted to make sure the unit was perfect and I was completely happy.

I didn't pay anything extra above the original estimate, remember this was an ebay purchase , the seller promptly sent money to cover the repair. That poor guy too a bath on that sale. Even before the repair cost
