I initially took the OP as a fun rant, then worried it might be serious, then made a smart ass reply to see if the reaction would guide me, then got confused.

It's OK just to vent. And we are certainly here to lend an ear if help is needed. But subtle does not come across on a message board. So throw a guy an emoticon to clue us.

I do try to post the fact I've been drinking & posting since my evil twin brother has betrayed me once or twice after I've exceeded the legal limit. That said, caffeine's not the active chemical ingredient when that happens...

Nope - caffiene is part of the morning treatment plan for having too much of the active chemical ingredient the night before!
