I realized that these amplifiers aren't exactly marketed to the folks trying to save a few dollars, but seriously, I wonder how you could quantify a sound quality difference if you were to compare these types of high dollar amplifiers. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if I were an owner of say, the Pass monos and ended up trying a pair of these Relentless monos to a pair of real world speakers like Sonus Faber Aida's, Avalon Isis, Wilson ALEXXs or XLFs etc, how much difference in sound do you get for an almost extra $175,000!!!!!?????? Boggles the mind.

It's the very essence of hi-end audio. You spend exponentially more to achieve exponentially less return for the money spent.

Sure, of course the law of diminishing returns has been covered many times in the past, but wow, the Relentless monos really take that debate to a whole new level. I've always personally (subjectively of course) thought the law kicks in on amplifiers in the $50,000 price range and we're talking several magnitudes of difference there. I could be wrong, maybe some of the forum members could enlighten me here, but are there any real world speakers out there in current production that would benefit from that kind of power in contrast to a pair of Boulder monos or the aforementioned Pass Labs monos? I guess the big Magnepans or the WAMMs perhaps? I bet they could drive the heck of of the old Apogee grands.

Yes, it was on static display in Munich. I must assume that if it is powered on, it would trip the circuit breaker and lose power supply to MOC.

Look how big that monoblock is compared to the momentum in the background. My goodness.
