Default W20 vs N10

Has anyone looked at the W20 vs the N10?

I stumbled upon a guy selling a used one today for just a little more than the N10.

I bought the W20 but didn't compare to the N10 because I wanted to use an external clock. If you look at the W20, consider a dac with duel AES/EBU. USB IME is not optimal but I'm no expert either. Good luck

I'm sure there are plenty but with my equipment, I chose SPDIF over USB because I thought it sounded better plus I can use my clock. The W20 mates well with Vivaldi, MSB, and D02X which all offer duel AES/EBU if I remember correctly. I believe that is the ideal connection for the W20 and question the expense if you're going to use USB. Just my opinion.

Which DACs support dual AES/EBU for left and right channel? The McIntosh D1100 doesn't do this.

Dan,

I was asking because the W20 supports left/right channel AES/EBU outputs which seems unique.

I'm sure that the W20 sounds fantastic, but I really think that the sweet spot in the Aurender line is the N10. As we all know, the extra 5-10% gain in SQ in this hobby costs a lot more money than getting the initial 90-95% percent of improvement, dollar for dollar.

Going AES/EBU out (single) to my D02X provides me with the ulimate in digital quality. I honestly couldn't imagine digital sounding any better, unless I got new speakers.
