I think the amps were Pass Labs XA160.5, but there was a crowd so I stood 10 feet or so behind the sweet spot on their couch and couldn't see the gear very well. I'll check with the dealer on Monday, I do remember they were using the MCD500 as a transport

Like most things taste is subjective and when it comes to things we hear, or don't hear. The Q1 looks to be built like a brick turd house with good internal bracing but this of course does not guarantee great sound. Based on the post's here they seem to be not too impressive.

I'd rather have a pair of Dynaudio Confidence C1 Signatures. With the extra $13K saved I could get a used pair of C-J LP275M monoblocks, or a used ET-5 and a used pair of LP140Ms.

Hi Jerome,
I checked with my dealer and the Pass amps were not hooked up to the Q3 speakers during that demo session. Instead, the speakers were powered by a Krell 402E with Krell Phantom pre-amp. They also told me on the phone today that their new Krell gear is from the current product line, and it sounds a lot different than their previous Krell models...
