Hi Jim - do you have traditional cable going to your bedroom? If so you can run ethernet over that and still preserve your existing cable signal if needed. This is the so-called MoCA standard, and there are inexpensive (~$90) transceivers you place at either end. To everything else it looks like a dedicated ethernet cable.

Thanks for the information, cl. I found an Ethernet-ported TP Link WiFi extender that should do the trick. It will be a while before I acquire a streamer/server, but I'll report the results once I do.

Glenn, Many Antipodes owners who, because of the options offered by Antipodes, are able to compare, would say that using Squeeze on their units versus ROON sounds better (cleaner, less ‘thick’). However, incorporating ROON as the server and Squeeze as the player yields the best of both worlds. ROON’s rich meta data rich interface with an improvement in overall SQ. That was my operating condition via AES/EBU cable for almost 2 years. Since upgrading to the Kala K50, I am finding the New USB All ROON configuration streaming natively to my DAC yields the best I have heard in my system.

Dense, clear and articulate sound stage with a musicality that is hard to find in digital.
