I bet those amps are sounding even better today Bob. I was amazed how much difference there was between the cold and new out of the box Momentum Monos and what the next few days of thermal stabilization and break in brought. Don't recall the whole break in being all that long either. They sounded superb within a week.

Tim, dixon007, Randy & Randy. I know the progression monos are getting a lot of attention and they are really amazing amps -- I haven't had SS in twenty years -- so, maybe I'm learning or have been schooled, .

There has to be something said about the Progression Preamp too. I honestly believe and have been told by many the Dan D'Agostino amp/pre marriage is equivalent to church style (and not Vegas). Others work -- but amp/pre synergy, which I'm a staunch believer in was paramount for this long-term 'until death' commitment.

The preamp is gorgeous and the volume dial is just a work of art -- it's movement as smoothe as a Swiss watch (Dan's meters were designed with the beauty & finesse of high end Swiss watches).

Yes, synergy is paramount on this level of gear and Dan spends a lot of time and effort to voice them together. Many an audiophile will try to outsmart the Master and I was guilty of it too but there was no preamp to match with at the time. Breguet watch was the inspiration for the meters by the way.

Add 10 hours to this meter -- I was a bit busy and took awhile to plug it in & get it running.

I'm super happy -- there may be yet to hear HF improvement as the hours increment -- and time will only tell & can only wait to hear -- but these amps/preamp are really impressive at this early stage. Bass is just awesome -- has realistic grunt & slam.
