Super record keeping, Great gear, nicely done!

On the pics, upload away just not so large that they shrink the page.

Thanks Ivan and Michael.

The timeline was easy as I've been running a database since '88. Sussing what cables were hooked to what took a little more effort today.

Yes Michael, but hasn't been used in years (alas just an ornament). I only have a handful of tapes that I want to listen to that I don't have on a superior format. So I will plug it in again one of these days.

Default The Pics

Here's the first of three posts (room, gear, blu-ray/dvd)...

Rear to front view. Conservatory at the right and Kekko's just a blur. Room is totally dark with curtains pulled and lights off:

Side view:

Front to rare view. Kitchen and messy counter to the right:

Closer view of rear. VPI HW17F, blu-ray, CDs, regularly played vinyl and blu-ray/DVD cupboard:

Nakamichi Dragon / Sky DVR / Plinius Model 9's (note the failed power LED on the right - died after approx. 25 years use. Rubbish!):

Note the dressed cables in the background. As good as Ivan's?

Default The important stuff

Cupboard, top shelves. Budding Masters of Cinema collection on third shelf:

Cupboard, top shelves left (less glare):

Cupboard, top shelves right (less glare):

MoC, knew-ish acquisitions (Misfits to Ex Machina, except Breaking Bad), Criterion's:

My pride and joy Criterion's (not enough of them though):

Lower shelves:

Lower shelves (less glare, kinda)

Hmmm, quality flash photography going on here. Animated b-r's (my favourites from Bolt to 9):

How to take cool flash photos while on a ladder, part two:

Thanks Cohibaman.

I bought a PC (80286 - remember them folks?) in 1988 to catalogue my record collection. Did my equipment then too, and have kept it up-to-date since, including all my other toys (movies, etc.) Had to self-learn databasing to do it, which helped later on in life with a programming career.
