The RP10 is a fine table and is about as easy as a setup can be - love the ceramic platter. I have owned a number of Rega TTs.

Hi turntable, please help me understand the Simplicity II; is the theory (fact) that as it arcs across the record, is the tracking angle of the cartridge and needle slightly rotating to stay centered in the groove? Not tangential but a closer approach to it? How difficult is it to keep in alignment if difficult at all? Gorgeous and very interesting combination with the table, arm, and Lyra. Id love to hear it.

HI Olskool

Its a close to tangential tracking as you get get without going to the true linear tracking tonearms. The headshell moves as the cartridge tracks across any LP.
The tracking geometry is based on a unique tetragon solution that reduces the tracking-error to 0,006°.

How its done is a bit above my head, all I know is that it works and works superbly. Compared to the tracking error of normal pivoted tonearms, the Simplicity is out of this world better.

see link to read a bit more about the geometry etc

Beautiful. Have you thought about moving to the HRX pulley on the motor, since you run the eagle? They are machined to a higher tolerance and would allow you to run multiple belts. Cheap upgrade.

Funny you should say that. My dealer is shipping me an HRX pulley as soon as he gets 2 new belts in stock to send with.

Great minds...
