Default Preview of the Audio Research Ref 150 amp from The Audio Beat...

The Audio Beat - More Powerful "Reference" Amplifier from Audio Research; Audio Research Reference 150 amplifier

This is going to be the replacement for my Ref 110s. It puts out 150wpc and uses the new KT-120 tubes. Power supply has doubled from the Ref 110 to 1,040 Joules, which gives the amp greater dynamic headroom for those moments in the material that require peak current delivery. New retail price will be $12,995.

Looking forward to your thoughts on it Jeff. Will you have a Ref 110 to compare it to? That would be great if you can pull that off. If not, no biggie.

Dj...I didn't buy it. I just meant this is the replacement for the Ref 110 amp (which I own) in ARC's line up.

Cyril.......This would be a nice move for your system. The additional headroom and dynamic range would be a fine performance boost. Quieter fans means a lot, too. You should be able to sell your Ref 110 without a problem.
