Nice system!..bet it sounds good too!
I'm glad the Luxman works so well with the Guarneri's in your set-up and you didn't have to sell them.
I think you would have eventually regretted it... if you had.

Thank you! Agreed. I'm very pleased to have found a good amplification match for the Guarneri. Took a while and quite a few amps...
I'm sure I would have regretted selling them. They disappear in the room finally.

I went with the cheapie option. Rocket 33 bi-wire configuration. Retail is $359.
The more I've tried different cables, the less I feel good about spending a lot on them.
Just my experience. They absolutely have an effect on sound, I just have not found one that always improves the sound - just changes it.

i had an even cheaper AQ cable the Type 4 which is truly entry level. Just upgraded to Transparent MusicWave at about $600 for biwire version. Literally transformed the sound of the system. More extended at both top and bottom, noticeably quieter (i didnt really even understand what that meant until i heard it in my own system) and detailed without being harsh in any possible way. I had experimented with cables over the years and felt the same as you, all different but not necessarily better. This is the first time i would say i heard improvements across the board. I am probably a Transparent guy for life now whenever i upgrade to better systems.
