I'm a big fan myself of Sonus faber, having heard most of them and having owned Grand Piano's, Cremona Auditors and currently Electa Amator II. A bit simple maybe compared to what I am seeing here, but for me the EAII's are amazing things.

I drive them with a JJ 828 tube Amp. Eight KT 88's, producing 70 watts. I love the combination.
Tom.......You have a very attractive sound system. Thanks for letting us see it.

Hello TommyC
Musica is the amplifier of my second system, while waiting for the delivery of my LP275M I connected it on my Elipsa for the first time, beatiful sound indeed.... Musica cannot make what makes a GAT and LP275M but it sounds qualitatively well beyond his specifications, he behaves in no way as a SS but he has the qualities of a tubed amplifier, no drought no hardness but control and liquidity, try it with your Guarneri .....and prepare to be charmed

Thanks. The Musica is hard to find in mint/new condition these days. Your CJ combo must be amazing!

Thats a great recording! And I agree. Sonus Faber can rock with the best of them. An example:

A few years back I played drums in a blues/rock band. We practiced in my home studio/loft. Its not a huge space, so with live drums it gets loud. And with 2 live guitars and bass and vocals, it is a loud live rock experience. So after an hour or 2 we take nice breaks to rest the ears and hands. I once talked them into taking a break in my listening room for a demo. Now these guys are like most muscians I have known. They don't much care about stereo gear. They listen to the language of music and not the sound of music. If they have 2k to spend on a stereo, they will buy a new guitar instead. I respect this about them. I am just not that way myself! So anyway, I asked them what they wanted to hear. Hendrix was the choice. So I cued up my open reel tape at 7.5 ips Band of Gypsies and gave them Machine Gun at live levels on my Amatis driven by my CAt JL-1 amps with REL Stentor 2's in stereo. I matched the level to the sound levels of the live practice session. In other words, it was cranked up full monty. It was loud and clear, and Hendrix was alive in that space. Not a one of those guys wanted to go back and practice that evening. Nothing we could do could compete with Hendrix live on that tape with those Amati's. It was that good. They will rock, big time. Incredible speakers when driven with great gear. They can sound live.

Ken

Hi guys

Recently I had a few upgrades. I upgraded from the Cremona Auditor M to the Guarneri Memento, and from one Pathos New Classic One MKIII up to two of them

Here are some pics:

Hey All. Just received a new set of Sonus faber Liuto Wood speakers. I just love them. I traded up from a set of Concerto Grand Piano's which I also really enjoyed. These Liuto's just seem to fill the room with so much music and a wide soundstage. I am driving them with a McIntosh MA6500 Integrated amp and I am just amazed how the instrument placement comes alive and the actual depth to the music. I have never had anything like this before. Oh, did I mention they are beautiful too! Glad to have joined the Sonus faber family of owners.
