From what I’ve read about the show, it was a resounding success. I wish there could be something similar in Phoenix during January or February.

Mike and others did a great job. From what I understand, there was a significant component of younger attendees - which of course, is promising news for the industry.

As the skeptic throughout this thread, for me to say the event exceeded expectations is an understatement. Selling out the venue, getting the attendee traction they did, the new blood, the overall sound quality were all great. I'm not sure I have seen a single negative word written about any aspect of the show. Kudos!
The free admission was brilliant and I suspect led to so many new faces. I would expect this aspect to increase the percentage of younger attendees each year. Congrats to the organizers. Looking forward to seeing what they have in store for 2020! |

The younger aged attendees as well as more female diversity most likely contributed to this. The turnout was big, but still easy to navigate. The sound in many rooms was very good and due to the hotel construction there was less sound intrusion from room to room. Based on the success and praise from vendors and show goers I expect the 2020 show will book quickly.

Was a great show and had a great time reconnecting with some of my friends that I used to work with decades ago at HiFi Buys in Atlanta. Took a ton of pics so I’ll post a new thread this weekend unless someone else beats me to it. I agree with all the positive things said. The only thing I’d question is our definition of a younger crowd? LOL still looked plenty greyed out to me!

I sure wish we could get an New England Audio Show going. Perhaps in the greater Boston area? Ivan could easily fill up half the rooms!
