Very nice! Congrats and enjoy!

Sorry for hijacking this MA9000 thread I have an MA8000 but I think they have the same amplifier units inside. I’m trying to find out which pre and power amps McIntosh put in here ? I saw a post a while back where it was stated and these were available as stand alone units, but cannot find the post now.

As I understand it, the 8000 and 9000 are the same except for the enhanced digital inputs that the 9000 supports. They both sport 1.8 db of dynamic headroom. As for the amp and preamp? The 8000/9000 share a similarity with the C52, but I cannot say if that part runs any deeper than cosmetics. As for the amp, McIntosh does not make a 300 watt per channel mono or stereo amplifier, so I assume the amp section is specific to these units.

As for the OP's newest toy, it's a spanking beautiful integrated and I'm sure he's still in love with it.

Just to clarify, Mcintosh makes 3 300 watt amplifiers, Mc301 mono, Mc312
stereo, and Mc2301 stereo tube.
