How to Find the Signal Path
When playing an album, in the footer, at the bottom of the screen, there is a little colored light--it might be yellow, green, or bright purple. Click that thing. It should pop up a little depiction of the path that the audio is taking. If you are playing to a hardware device that Roon recognizes, you will also see some information about that product.

The 601 and C2300 are all analogue.

I own a MA5300 integrated amp (purchased this past November) and have subscribed to Roon for some time now, so this is great news! However, the sound quality when played through the built-in DAC of the MA5300 is much lower than when connected to analog input on the MA5300 (from a CD player, external DAC, or even headphone jack from a computer). Are there known issues with the MA5300 DAC? Or perhaps mine is defective. Note that the Roon signal path shows lossless, and the McIntosh is receiving 44.1kHz
