What is fascinating about John Wheeler's diagram below is that according to everything we know, it makes perfect sense! The diagram is depicting an "observer" looking at the beginning of time of our universe or the Big Bang. The observer is observing light which travels at the speed of light. At the speed of light, time stands still, no time has passed. So in essence, the universe really has created everything that led up to the moment of time of the observer observing the beginning of time....

Wheeler suggested that reality is created by observers and that: “no phenomenon is a real phenomenon until it is an observed phenomenon.” He went further to suggest that “we are participants in bringing into being not only the near and here, but the far away and long ago.
The very fact that an observer is observing a star, or the light from it whose time is standing still, the very act of observation collapses the wave function and creates the reality for that observer. Deep stuff.... This claim was considered rather outlandish until his thought experiment, known as the “delayed-choice experiment,” was tested in a laboratory in 1984. This experiment was a variation on the famous “double-slit experiment” in which the dual nature of light was exposed (depending on how the experiment was measured and observed, the light behaved like a particle (a photon) or like a wave). |

I find the vids that 'describe' what this planet's like or that universe or this star when there just blurry pin pricks from our most powerful earth/space telescope's utterly charming. Why not? Give it a bash.

+1 Like I commented on an earlier post, worldview makes these posts interesting. Cheer, Scott
