Congratulations. You will love how the MC452 simply takes control in a totally silent way.

That's my major problem now with the Emotiva XPR 5 amp, plenty of power but also comes that annoying hissing from the tweeters.

Can't wait for total silence in my music.

What did you end up getting? During the audition, the dealer was powering the 803D's with what amp may I ask?

Congratulations on the 803Diamonds!
I've had my 803's for not quite a year and they are beautiful sounding.
Good Luck

What are you powering them with? I just picked up a pair and am using an Ayre Ax5twenty integrated rated at 125 wpc into 8 ohms. They and a new Esoteric cd player are all still breaking in, and I'm eager to hear the sound they ultimately produce. Some say the 803's need 200 wpc to really shine.

My 803's are doing double duty. Home Theater and 2channel.
80% of the time I am listening to music.
I have an Outlaw7700 200wpc for HT.
Bob Latino's mono-block tube amplifier in triode mode rated at 35wpc with a GRACE DESIGN m920 pre/dac/headphone
I was told I needed at least 300wpc to get the full benefit out of the 803's...
In the end I am very happy with what I am hearing....sublime!
