Default Preamp Did It Again!

3 days ago I wrote how my C2500 preamp which I have had since mid January wouldn't turn on. I unplugged it and waited about 20 seconds. It then powered up. Now, 3 days later it just did it again. There have been no surges or anything else in the past 3 days so I am thinking I have to call Audio Classics (I bought it there) and see if it can be fixed? What do you think I should do?

I had a similar issue with one of my Cary monoblocks.I found the fuse inside the amount was not making a good connection.
I cleaned the contacts with Deoxit and gave the fuse holder contacts a squeeze to tighten them up.
Perfect ever since.
If you are not familiar with proper safety protocol you should hire a professional.
Hope this helps.

Don't waste more time procrastinating. The problem won't go away. Send it back to Audio Classics.

Did you also try the microprocessor reset? Either way, AC will take care of you.

I sent email to Mike Sastra at Audio Classics last night and heard back from him this morning. He said he would check with Ryan (I'm assuming he is their tech) and would get back to me soon. I haven't heard back, but in the mean time the preamp did it again today. I checked the firmware and it is 1.03. I don't know if that is the latest or not. If it needs to go back to them, I was hoping to drive down there on Monday as its about a 4 1/2 hour ride. I will send another email first thing Monday morning.

My system was really sounding great, so great that I couldn't wait to listen to it every day but after the first mishap with the preamp, the system doesn't seem as involving or as it did before. I hope it is just my imagination.

Update: I got email from Mike at AC, he is going to exchange the preamp for another one. I am going to drive down on Monday and make the swap.
