Has anyone here tried the Ultra SS under speakers? I currently use a set of three under my ARC Ref 110 amplifier and love them and am strongly considering trying a couple of sets under my Sonus Faber Olympica IIs to replace the spikes. I have heard the Ultra 5s under larger speakers and think they are an amazing product, though a bit too pricey for me.

As reported in another thread here I use 3 each under my Acoustic Zen Crescendos. I have the tapered end pointing up under the speakers. I tried 4 per speaker screwed into the threads (with adaptors) as recommended but didn't like the sound nearly as well.

FWIW, Stillpoints recommends putting Stillpoints under your speakers before you use them anywhere else.

I think you might be the only person on here I've heard own the AZ Crescendos. I've always been highly impressed with them.

I am trying to decide what would be the ideal model (SS's or Ultra 5’s) for my two JL Audio F110 subs. Most of the posts I have seen on the JL subs were for F112’s or F113’s which are obviously quite a bit larger/heavier than the F110. I would err on the side of paying the (considerably) higher price for the Ultra 5’s to be safe but from what I have read under a lighter weight load the SS’s might be better than the 5’s. Any advice or opinions would be much appreciated!

I have three Ultra SS, using the adapter threads, under each of my YG Acoustic Carmels. I noticed a SQ improvement and bass tightening. I believe the YG's weigh about 80 lbs apiece.

I have an ARC VS-115 and it was the first place experimented with Ultra SS and it was all downhill from there. I have Vienna Acoustics Beethoven Grands with Ultra SS' under them and was amazed at the transformation (I won't try to describe it as it is a story retold on various threads). They will not be removed from the speakers unless I go to the Ultra 5's. I spoke to an engineer with StillPoints who told me I should check out the mini's under my lighter weight stuff and that I might be surprised at how well they perform. Dang if he was not right about that. I have them under my QB4 power strip, the PSU for my Linn TT and soon to be under my NAD M5 SACD player. If I never added anything more the performance increase was very satisfying!

I have the new Ultra 6's under my Cary SLI-80 Ultimate. I am loving the black background.
